MORE THAN A MOM GROUP
To the parents who held us up
It’s hard to put into words what you’ve been for me — and for our family.
After Violet died, there were moments I couldn’t move, couldn’t plan, couldn’t picture how to keep going — let alone how to make my surviving child’s 4th birthday feel like a celebration.
But you did it. You came together with food and plans and strength I didn’t have. You brought fire trucks and firefighters. You made joy possible again, even just for a moment. That meant the world to Charlie, and to all of us.
You've shown up in quiet, steady ways. Not just once, but over and over. With messages, meals, reminders, space, laughter, and the kind of support that doesn’t need to be asked for.
I didn’t expect to find this kind of sisterhood in a mom group. But now I know better — and I’ll never forget it.
Thank you for being one of the unexpected gifts in this unbearable chapter. I am endlessly grateful for you.
